Wall panel model

Postby FuzzYspo0N » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:14 am

Iv only used XSI for writing tools and scripts for XSI users, never for modeling so i figured id catch up so i know how to use it as well as the others i enjoy more. Funny enough, i enjoy using it now that i understand its workflow.

My first modelling project in quite some time, i have learnt alot and i am trying some techniques iv seen used by other leet ninjas. I am trying the following

1) Model a base mesh for the object
2) sketch over an AO render, creating detail
3) model the base of the details
4) sculpt
5) texture

Im halfway through step 2 at the moment, step one base mesh looked something like this :

Step 2 : still trying to detail and figure out what it is in the first place (i know its a wallpanel)

Comments and ideas welcome. I am getting used to XSI still so the modelling is slower than normal :/

Ok, two more updates. i have actually flipped the mesh according to the original, so i am posting an empty unflipped one and i am posting a rough sketch to give it more context perhaps alluding to what it could/might be.
