No, wait. She did her Fine Arts at Tuks. Are they different? :P I thought they were part of the same thing. I think she said something about her lecturer's name being Gustavo, but there's a good chance I got that wrong. :D

:O Same thing? :O Nooooo... TuT is a university of TECHNOLOGY. lol, it means we're insanely practical. I only spend 3hrs per week in a lecture hall. The other 17 odd hours of class time are spent in practical environments. 3hrs figure drawing, 5hrs painting, 5hrs sculpture, 3hrs drawing per week... oh, and there's an hour in a comp lab, but I passed the exemption test and don't have to go. ^_^

What I've heard from Tuks is that they spend waaaaaaay many hours on theory alone.

Edit: and TuT has a 2year multimedia thing that you can only do after your 3yrs of fine arts(Ndip). So I imagine a student at TuT would stay for that, rather than head off to another school... because I think it covers the same kind of stuff.... not really absolutely sure... but I do think so. :P

Oops, my bad. :P

I'm actually rather jealous of her, because with her having completed her Tuks degree (4 years = Honours), she's exempt from all of the theory courses. Research and theory may be interesting sometimes, but writing essays is a chore.

I have to do 4years to get to the BTech, five to the honours. Lol, thats what you get for going the "minimal theory" route. I've at least exempt myself from computers for this year. They're doing a basic crash course on, "This is the power button". Next year its basic Corel and Photoshop I hear.

Oh, he gave me 72% for the sculpture. 3% from the distinction!!! Evil man! Lol, but I have an opportunity to improve that mark still. At the end of ten weeks we have evaluation, where we display all our work together and a panel of lecturers( I hear 4) do a group marking. You're allowed to improve your work for that.

I assume the pc's would be kitted out with tablets if they wanted to do something as cool as that.
