Made this for a friend who does POI, its awesome to watch!
Just for the mean while. Nearly finished the pixel art.

How'd you do it?

I took a photo of him, with a supra (a whole other level above super) Mega Pixel Camera.
Then I made it grayscale, made it luminosity. Did that a few times. Then I changed the mode to Index Colour, Then I changed the color Table to Body Black.

Then I took stock photos of fire and manipulated it over the face, fiddled with the blending modes. Then I painted the highlights and shadows and midtones then fiddled with those blending modes.

Then I warped the fire for the hair.
