I'd done the changes and forgotten to upload.

This one was pretty much right, except that I found a random white line across her llama. Don't know how that got there, but I've fixed that already; I just don't have that one here at school.

It's looking good. I do think you need to really start defining the hair more though. It looks like flat colour with wisps in the highlights. I also think the web could be brought more in to the picture. The highest leg of the spider comes across thicker for some reason. All and all you're improving very well.

I can't believe I forgot to actually post this. I thought I had. I was even looking for the thread.... that apparently doesn't exist.

We invite all emerging artists to take up the challenge of entering this respected competition in 2010, the 21st year that Sasol has been its sponsor. The competition is held annually and is open to all South African artists who are 18 years and older, who have not held a solo exhibition except for academic purposes.

Artists are invited to submit a maximum of two artworks at one of the eight collection points around the country or via the internet. Physical entries must be submitted on Monday, 26 July 2010 and Tuesday, 27 July 2010 between 10:00 and 16:00 and online entries may be submitted from 1 to 27 July 2010 at "http://www.sasolsignatures.co.za"

This, with a real-time shader (for Max 9+). The free version of the shader does everything the full version does, but without a nice, clean GUI, so you end up having to dig through menus and stuff. The full version's currently available for 49USD.

I only used Acrylics for my paintings, but felt they were so transparent and sometimes doesn't give enough texture...but then I used a thickening medium...don't know what the name was of what I used exactly but I mixed it with the Acrylics and got them to dry slower and give more texture. You can also first paint texture with a thick paste like Statex, and then paint with Acrylics over that.

Fashion and portrait (Module 2 projects)

So this some photos for our module 2 fashion and portrait photography from which I handed in some of these. We had to do 4 studio shots (high key and low key), and 4 environmental portrait or on location fashion shots. All the models are friends from high school or TOW. This was the most fun I had in a module of photography, thanx to all my models, you were soawesome!

ooh nice photos! i love the little crabby! so much texture! yes the back and white works cause of all the texture. The others are cool too, just not so much a specific focus point in most of them. I like where the crab isn't perfectly in the centre of the photo (like the last photo of the crab) so it shows more of it's environment and the distance it traveled to get there. It would have been nice if the crab in that photo was sharp and the background blurred.

Thanks. But it's still far from what I am aiming for with line work. The ink washes is still very new to me so I've given myself more leeway with that. But my line work still needs improving. It's getting there slowly I think.
